The Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) was recognized at the 2024 Ghana Energy Week Celebration held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 in Takoradi, Western Region. The Commission was nominated in three prestigious categories: Energy Institution of the Year, Brand of the Year, and a Special Award. 

The event, hosted at the Atlantic Hotel in the Western Region, brought together a number of stakeholders in the energy industry, including notable dignitaries such as the Western Regional Minister, Hon. Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah.  The Commission was declared the Energy Institution of the Year 2024, underscoring its significant contributions to the energy sector.

The award was recieved by staff of the Commission on behalf of the Executive Secretary, Dr. Ishmael Ackah.
