PURC Launches Two Radio Programmes to Engage Stakeholders in The Upper West Region

The Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) launched two (2) radio programmes dubbed "Time with the Regulator" and "Wajin Katimaale" in the Upper West Region which air every Wednesday and Friday from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Time with the Regulator is a programme aimed at educating consumers on the PURC (Consumer Service) Regulations, 2020 (LI 2413), tariff-setting processes, the Electricity Consumption Estimator App, Guidelines on refund of capital contribution, and the general Operations of the Commission in the Region. This is aired on Sungmaale FM 90.5 mgz.

Wajin Katimaale on the other hand is a Waala phrase, to wit: "Let's resolve it together."  This platform was created to bridge the gap between the Utility Service Providers (NEDCo and GWL) and the Consuming public. It allows the service providers to bring their operations to their customers' doorsteps and allows the customers to get their concerns addressed in the comfort of their homes. It also seeks to bring on board the Energy Commission, Certified Energy Commission Electricians, and Certified plumbers to educate customers and potential customers on the nitty-gritty of service connections and their related issues. This programme is aired on Sungmaale FM 90.5 mgz.

Consumers are encouraged to follow these programmes as the Commission continues to facilitate quality service delivery to the people of the Upper West Region.
