The Acting Executive Secretary of the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC), Dr. Shafic Suleman, held a strategic meeting with the Commission's management on Friday, February 7, 2025. The meeting allowed the various Directorates of the Commission to present their activities carried out in 2024. The emphasis was on the functional responsibility of each Directorate, tasks undertaken in 2024, and the way forward in 2025.

Management of the Commission expressed their full support and commitment to the administration of Dr Shafic Suleman. In his response, Dr. Suleman thanked management for their support and commitment to the mandate of the Commission. He took the opportunity to explain his strategic vision and direction for the Commission. He emphasized that, his vision for the electricity, water, and natural gas sectors, which is being regulated by the PURC, is to have an all-inclusive, transformative and financially viable and sustainable sectors.
