The Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC), has donated medical equipment and consumables to the Mampong Tetteh Quashie Memorial and Dodowa District Hospitals as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility activities lined up to mark the 25th Anniversary of the Commission.
During a short ceremony held at the premises of the hospitals, Mrs. Nancy Atiemo, Director for Legal Services of PURC, presented the medical equipment and consumables to the hospital management on behalf of the Executive Secretary of the Commission, Dr. Ishmael Ackah.
Mrs. Atiemo charged the beneficiaries to put the donated items to good use and also took the opportunity to remind them to pay their utility bills on time to ensure the financial viability of the utilities which would ultimately translate into good quality of service.
The medical equipment and consumables that were donated to the hospitals include Radiant Warmers, Drip Stands, Television sets for Clients, Surgical Gloves, Methylated Spirit among others.
The management and staff of both hospitals thanked staff of the commission for the kind gesture.
In attendance were the Director, Water Service and Performance Monitoring; Mr. Emmanuel Fiati, members of the Commission’s Gender Coordinating Committee and the Head of Corporate Affairs, Ali Simon Jarana.
