The 2021 tariff review process is still ongoing. Following the submission of Commission’s tariff capturing templates requesting the appropriate tariff data from Volta River Authority (VRA), Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo), Electricity Company of Ghana, Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo), Ghana National Gas Company (GNGC), Enclave Power Company (EPC) and the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL), a face-to-face meeting has been held with all parties to incorporate their comments and inputs.
Energy sector players including the Ministry of Energy and the Energy Commission were part of the stakeholder meeting to broaden the scope of transparency.
The date for submission of proposals was extended to ensure that the utilities had adequate time to source the appropriate data. The templates have been completed by the utilities and submitted to the Commission for analysis and further actions.
The tariff review process is currently at the analysis and data confirmation stage. The Commission expects to undertake exhaustive consultations with other key stakeholders to ensure that all interests are considered and transparency is enhanced before a final decision is made.
