PURC Intensifies Stakeholder Engagements in the Northern Region

The Public Utilities Regulatory Commission engaged staff and students of the Tamale College of Education (TACE) in the Northern Region. The engagement was part of the Commission’s efforts to ensure consumer compliance with the use of electricity and water services.

The staff and students of TACE were advised to avoid the unauthorised use of electricity and water services and to report all identified cases of illegal connections. They were also encouraged to pay their utility bills on time to avoid being disconnected from the service. Questions and concerns raised during the engagement were addressed accordingly by the PURC Northern Regional team.

While the Commission is committed to ensuring that utility service providers improve upon the quality of services delivered to consumers, it also encourages consumers to be responsible in the use of services provided by these institutions.
