PUBLIC UTILITIES REGULATORY COMMISSION (PURC)

REJOINDER

“PURC WORKERS WANT GWCL BOARD CHAIR AFENYO MARKIN SACKED

The Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) DISASSOCIATES itself from a publication on Ghanaweb.com dated June 21, 2018 with the caption, ‘‘PURC workers want GWCL Board Chair Afenyo Markin sacked’’. PURC states emphatically that it has nothing whatsoever to do with this story.

Ghanaweb.com erred in abbreviating the Public Utilities Workers Union as PURC instead of PUWU. PUWU has no relationship with PURC. The Commission has contacted the Editors of Ghanaweb.com to demand that they immediately retract the headline and all links to it and publish an unqualified apology to the Commission.

The PURC assures its stakeholders and the general public that nothing of the sort is happening in the Commission.

Signed,

BAWAH MUNKAILA
